Q: Is the TORG-12 form mandatory?

Since 2013 the standard forms of primary documents have been optional: a company may use its own form or a UPD. TORG-12 remains familiar and is used by agreement between the parties.

Q: What is TORG-12 not suitable for?

For work and services — a completion certificate is drawn up for those. A delivery note documents only the transfer of goods.

Q: How many copies are needed?

Two: one stays with the supplier and confirms the shipment, the other is handed to the buyer and serves as the basis for entering the goods in its accounts.

Q: Is a VAT invoice needed with the delivery note?

For a VAT payer — yes, the VAT invoice is issued separately. To avoid drawing up two documents, a UPD is used.
